Aubistract Studio

An evolving studio collection

Abstract paintings, built in layers.

Color meets texture, order gives way to interruption, and every surface keeps a trace of how it was made.

Painted by Felipe Coimbra.

Aubistract is an ongoing practice in color, texture, repetition, and the occasional happy accident. This site is a living record of the paintings rather than a finished catalogue.

The heart of the studio

In memory of Aubie.

Aubistract Studio is named in memory of my orange cat, Aubie. He lived for 18 years and travelled with me to 15 countries. His name lives on here, and his shape is tucked into the studio’s orange AS.
